About Roy Searle

Roy Searle is one of the founder leaders of the Northumbria Community, a ‘new monastic’, global network of Christians, covenanted together within the love of Christ and embracing a Rule of Life ~ Availability and Vulnerability. Roy is a former President of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, visiting lecturer, spiritual director, mentor and a consultant to several charities, churches and organisations including Renovaré which was founded by his friend Richard J Foster. Richard’s books include ‘Celebration of Discipline’ and ‘Streams of Living Water’. Roy’s talks will be based upon the ‘six streams’ of discipline found in the life of Jesus Christ and the corresponding ‘Six Traditions’ seen in the history of the church: Contemplation, Holiness, Charismatic, Social Justice, Evangelical and Incarnational.

Each of these streams has something vital for us to embrace both alone and together in our churches and our desire and intention is to encourage and resource you in your relationship with God.
